Administrators make remote changes to locksets and card rights by visiting the door and syncing with offline locksets by a Bluetooth connection. Credentials can be programmed and issued without visiting (touring) doors.
Daily (or programmable time) reauthorization at an on-line door (checkpoint) allows users access to off-line wireless locks. Simply by using their card, users are updating the system automatically. Events from off-line locks are transferred to the administrative software by user usage of smart credentials.
The system can communicate to offline locks wirelessly on demand using Bluetooth bridges & connects to the customer’s network with a PoE or PoE+ cable, or using their WiFi network.
Door controllers connect to the customer’s network with a PoE or PoE+ cable, or WiFi. These doors are always online.
In a standard pin-tumbler locking system, persons carrying keys gain access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A Proxess intelligent locking system allows the Administrator to set up as many custom time schedules as they desire to limit accessibility to doors when not required.
There is no method of determining who and when a key-holder accesses a door in a standard lock and key system. Proxess intelligent locks track both who and when someone accesses a door. This audit trail allows the Administrator to see and document accountability when security events occur.
